My Social Security Account

​Creating a My Social Security Account will allow you to review your earnings statement to make sure there are no errors in your work history that could have an impact on your eligibility for Disability Insurance Benefits. You can also use your account to update your contact information and banking information with Social Security and also check the status of your claim for benefits.

Seven Counties Services offers low fee mental health treatment, counseling services, developmental disabilities services, and substance abuse rehabilitation services. Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation

The Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation offers a variety of programs designed to help disabled persons get back to work. Some examples are job training, vocational testing, job placement services

Louisville Center for Women and Families

The Louisville Center for Women & Families has several programs designed to assist families experiencing domestic violence situations including family shelters and counseling services.

Family Health Centers

The Family Health Centers offer low-fee medical care and have clinics located in several locations around Louisville.

U of L Healthcare

The U of L Healthcare organization has a variety of specialty clinics that offer low-fee medical services including general medical care, pain management, and psychiatric treatment.

SNAP

The Kentucky Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (formerly called “Food Stamps”) assists low-income Kentucky families who meet certain requirements to purchase groceries. TARC 3

Transit Authority of River City (TARC) sponsors a program called TARC 3 designed to assist disabled persons who are not able to use the public bus to meet their transportation needs. To find out if you qualify for services contact them at 502-213-3217 or visit their website.

LG&E Heating Assistance

If you are experiencing difficulty paying your utility bills you may qualify for special assistance through Louisville Gas & Electric heating assistance program. To find out if you qualify contact their assistance line at 502-589-1444 or visit their website.
